BIO
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I graduated from Benedictine University in 2018 with a M.S. in Clinical Psychology, specializing in children and adolescents. Before working at Stone Catchers Counseling, I interned and worked at Guiding Light Counseling for 4 years where I provided therapy for students in the Valley View school district at the elementary, middle, and high school level. I also have experience working with young adults and adults.
I have provided therapy for clients dealing with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, social skills, behavioral issues, self-identity, and more. My approach to therapy is very eclectic, utilizing models such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness, client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and play therapy.
Each client comes to therapy with their own unique backgrounds, values, and strengths. And my goal as a therapist is to celebrate those differences and use them to build a treatment plan that is individualized and unique to each and every client. Though therapy is often an intimidating and new experience for most, I will guide my clients step-by-step and offer a safe and trusting environment free of judgement where they may learn the tools to grow and lead a more fulfilling life.
