Brianna Lurigio, LSW
I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, where I also earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. I began my social work career as an intern with the Juvenile Protective Association in Chicago, providing trauma-focused psychodynamic individual and group therapy to children ages 4-10 years old. I have assisted adults with severe mental illness, providing intensive case management, and counseling services. I also have served clients struggling with anxiety, PTSD, depression, chronic illness, and substance use disorders. My clinical skills include Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
I approach therapy with the expectation that clients will guide the process. I offer an empathic, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach when working with clients. I create a space where clients can be heard, seen, and accepted regardless of their struggles. I believe that the most powerful tool that I have as a therapist is to be able to sit with a client in their hardships and act as a witness to their healing.
