My approach to therapy is to meet you where you are. Everyone comes into a healing space on their terms and in different places in their life, and I look forward to being that person who can guide them through their growth. I am passionate about being a safe place for people on a healing journey and being the therapist to help them through the storms they are walking through.

I graduated from DePaul University in 2004 and acquired a bachelor’s degree in political science, primarily because of my interest in social justice. Before deciding I would explore a career in Social Work, I worked at several non-profit organizations on the South Side of Chicago. I have worked in workforce development and extensive background in youth development and workforce development. Having such a diverse background has made me a better therapist, and I feel more capable of seeing a person from a holistic viewpoint. Since I have worked in so many different facets of human development, I like to use several different approaches to helping people in the healing journey.

Working with families, adolescents, and children. I have an extensive background in crisis assessing, safety planning, working with young children and families. I have experience working with groups, children’s groups, adults, families, and people from all walks of life. I have worked in domestic violence shelters, substance use treatment, and an Emergency Room. Approaches include: play therapy, CBT, DBT, psychoanalytical, trauma-informed practice, attachment, parent management, and mindfulness practice.
